Islamabad: July 21, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have demanded release of four Christians who were arrested during a peaceful protest procession on July 19, 2012, against Christian hospital land grabbing by a Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) parliamentarian from Rawalpindi. Mr. Akram Gill, Javed Piyara, Munir Masih and Abbas Masih were escorted by police to City Police Station for talks with revenue officials to settle disputed valuable land plot from protest procession of Christian at Liaquat Bagh where hundreds of Christian women, elders and youth had blocked Benazir Bhutto road for two hours but they were arrested on directives of PML (N) Member of National Assembly of Pakistan. The City Police Station Rawalpindi charged these four Christian activists under Section 147, 149, 341 and 427 PPC in a FIR number 242/2012, alleging them damaging public property, unlawful assembly and in possession of arms in procession. Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) is ruling party of Punjab Province of Pakistan and protects extremist Islamic groups who have been involved in mob attacks on Churches, Christian properties and like heinous crimes of burning Christian women and children alive in Gojra Town. In 2011, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) land mafia grabbed land of century old “Gosha-e-Aman” in Ghari Shahoo, Lahore, where they demolished a Catholic Church, old age home and school and occupied millions of rupees land. The St. Joseph Hospital in Rawalpindi was being funded by a Canadian donor for free health services for which 0.8 million rupees were paid in advance and remaining 100 thousand were supposed to pay on time of possession but PML(N) MNA from Rawalpindi occupied land and demanded his share. There is one Muslim named Mohammad Zamman Cheema who is notorious land mafia member of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) and claimed ownership of Chapel adjacent to Gordon College with support of another PML (N) MNA in Rawalpindi which was proved fraudulent later. PCC Chief Dr. Nazir S Bhatti said that PML (N) is grabbing valuable Church and Christian properties in Punjab province of Pakistan where it rules which is very alarming. Nazir Bhatti expressed concern on involvement of PPP, PTI and MQM Christian tools in such valuable land grabbing cases. Nazir Bhatti demanded immediate release of four innocent Christians arrested from peaceful protest procession against hospital land grabbing by Muslims.
