REAP delegation calls on Minister for National Harmony

ISLAMABAD: July 19, 2012. (PCP) A delegation of REAP (Reformation for Empowerment and Alleviation Poverty) led by Senior its Vice President Nisar Hussain, Secretary General Shamim Masih and Zahid Anwer called on Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Gill in his office. During the meeting, the minister appreciated the REAP efforts in promoting the peace and interfaith harmony in the country. He said that it was necessary to join hands and initiating of concerted efforts in promoting interfaith harmony and peace in the country. “We have been struggling for the last one decade to develop interfaith harmony”, he said adding “Our government has undertaken lot of projects for the betterment of the minorities. REAP delegation offered its full support to the minister for promotion of the interfaith harmony and peace. Reciprocating, the minister said it was a noble cause and his ministry would also be extending full support for this noble cause. REAP representative thanked for his assurance and said that keeping up the past tradition we would continue to arrange seminars, awareness walks and dialogue between different faiths in the country.
