Karachi: July 13, 2012. (PCP) Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, MPA Sindh, Chairman Standing committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh & President All Pakistan Minority Alliance and Mr. Pitambar Sehwani, MPA Sindh representing religious minorities in the joint statement said that in the recent past the incident of kidnapping, killing, sexual harassment of Hindus mentioned hereinabove an eye opener and they vehemently condemned such merciless threatening of the religious Minorities in Pakistan. In this respect with the help of a DSP of District Umerkot along with his policemen forcibly kidnapped a Hindu Girl by the name of Raju Kooli and sexually harassed her and an F.I.R. was not registered by the Police. It is on the intervention of Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar and Mr. Pitambar Sehwani MPAs Sindh the District Sessions Court Umerkot was pleased to order the registration of an FIR on the initiation of application filed Under Section 22-A, but so far the culprits have not been arrested. Both the MPAs stated that a second serious incident took place on 11-07-2012 in the District of Khairpur sindh where the Hindu Youth who belong to Taluka Thul District Jacobabad where kidnapped and so far they have not been recovered. Another incident took place in Mirpurkhas on 11-07-2012 where a Hindu Trader by the name of Shaam was kidnapped and brutally tortured by the kidnappers and mercilessly murdered till to date the kidnappers / accused have not been booked / arrested. On this occasion, both Parliamentarians Mr. Saleem Khurseed Khokhar & Pitambar Sehwani in their joint statement said that it is sad that the religious minorities in Sindh, Pakistan feel in secure and are living in constant fear. Both Parliamentarians beached President of Pakistan Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah that the Hindu Girl by the name of Raju Kooly who had been kidnapped and subjected to sexual harassment by the police officers of Sindh and Hindu Trader Shaam who had been murdered by the kidnappers and three Hindu Youth mentioned above be recovered and action against the culprits may please be ordered in the interest of justice so that the minorities in Pakistan feel secure so as to stop such heinous crimes and safeguard the Minorities in Pakistan.
