Karachi: July 11, 2012. (PCP) Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, Member Provincial Assembly Sindh, Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh and President All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh express his deep sorrow over the incident of burning of a man alive namely Ghulam Abbas at Chanighot area of Bahawalpur, Pakistan on 3rd July 2012.
He said no one should be allowed to take law into in his own hands no matter what the crime is. The enquiry should be conduct into this unfortunate incident as per President’s order at an early date.
He further said that Blasphemy Law is a serious issue for minorities particularly Christian in Pakistan.
He said Asia Bibi was convicted in November 2010 in the case of Blasphemy; he appealed Hon’ble President Asif Ali Zardari to issue directives to release and pardoned Asia Bibi. He further demanded to repeal the Blasphemy Law.
