LARKANA: July 10, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) A large number of disable and handicap educated unemployed youth set up their protest camp outside at the District Council Hall Larkana and Continued hunger strike for their rights here on Tuesday.
The disable and handicapped youth under the banner of The Help Special Persons Welfare Organization (THSPWO) for their rights started joint struggle against the non-implementation of two percent jobs quota for them.
It was aimed to continue their hunger strike till the acceptance of their demands and provision of all rights they said.
On the occasion, Nisar Ahmed Junejo, Muneer Dass Oad, Qammaruddin Kumbhar, Nizamuddin Panhwar,Shoib Soomro and others told media that present government has ignored disable educated youth and did not provide jobs to the disables on quota to the destitute persons they said.
They said elected representatives of Larkana including Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, MNA Shahid Hussain Bhutto and Law Minister Sindh Muhammad Ayaz Soomro had promised to provide them jobs but after the passing four and half years, they could not provide single job opportunity to the disable persons.
They appealed to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MNA Faryal Talpur to take notice of matter and resolve their issues, otherwise they will continue their protest and hunger strike.
Meanwhile, Pirbhat Women Development Society (PWDS) along with the representatives of civil society took out protest rally against the attack on renowned writer and intellectual Amar Sindhu and Irfana Malah.
The rally led by Khalid Chandio, Saeed Memon, Aziz Mangi and others which started from the Jinah Bagh after marching through various routs dispersed peacefully outside Larkana Press Club.
They strongly condemned the coward attack on Amar Sindhu and Irfana Malah, termed it a conspiracy to target the intellectual women, they also demanded of government to remove the VC Nazir Mughal and conduct inquiry of incident on the occasion.
