LARKANA/KASHMORE: July 3, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Sindh Freedom Forum (SFF) province wide merged with Indus Social Forum (ISF) announced by the founder chairman Shah Innayat and Syed Khalil Ahmed Shah they vowed to continue their efforts to achieve the deprived the communities in Sindh problems.
The protests in Kandhkot-Kashmore and other parts of province are continued by the civil society representatives against the KU admission policy under the KSP category. The protest rallies were organized in different districts, tehsils throughout province and condemned Karachi, Sindh and Pakistan (KSP) based admission policy in KU.
Indus Social Forum (ISF) led protests in Kashmore, Jacobabad, Thul, Garhi Khairo, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Larkana, Hyderabad, Dadu and other areas of Sindh against the anti-students policy of admissions in Karachi Varsity.
The activists carrying banners and play cards shouted slogans of anti-merit and anti-Sindhi policies, they also , which is a slaughter of merit, the students in Sindh will not accept KSP category, they demands quota or merit for all students according to the policies of country Varsities throughout.
The protesting ISF activists along with large number of social and political, civil society representatives, journalists took to the streets of towns and cities and condemned the category/division of Karachi, Sindh and Pakistan (KSP) policy, protesters also claimed for the policy of quota or merit for all students according to the country universities.
Chairman ISF Syed Khalil Ahmed told that there are 6000 seats in Karachi University among 5800 seats are reserved for only Karachi, while 170 for all Pakistan and among only 30 seats for 22 districts of Sindh he told, he said it is an in just that a large number of brilliant students have no access for admission in KU he told.
He said Karachi Sindh Pakistan (KSP) category divided the ideas and deprived Sindhi students, so that ISF demands fair and transparent admission policy as in other universities of Sindh on quota or merit should be implemented in Karachi University, while present government should also open campus of Karachi University in Gharo and remove the grievances of Sindh people with more facilitation and educational opportunities for Sindhi people.
Protesting leaders said the students of Sindh deprived of their rights in Karachi University; present PPP government should implement the proper admission formula like other universities and provide opportunities of Education to all 22 districts of Sindhi students in Karachi they said.
On the occasion, Central leader ISF Saleemullah Ogahi, Chief Organizer G. M Soomro Sikander Ali Mahar, Bagan Lashari, Jaladdin Brohi, Munir Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed Zulfikar Ali and others led the protest in different cities of Sindh.
