Mandi Bahauddin: May 27, 2012. (Sher Gondal) No route to Afghanistan till it recognizes Durand Line as international boundary between Pakistan and Afghanistan. This was said by Lt Gen Faiz Ali Chishti during a telephonic address to a gathering of ex-servicemen of Mandi Bahauddin held at Jhulana, a suburban village of Mandi Bahauddin. He said Afghanistan should admit and confirm Durand line as international border if she wants restoration of supply route through Pakistan. Once Afghanistan confirms it then any one crossing border and entering Pakistan territory would be shot dead and similar practice Afghanistan should do to stop crossing border to either side. About supply route to NATO, he said NATO is not a country. It is alliance of many countries operating in Afghanistan. In case of providing route to member countries of NATO. Pakistan should consider to provide route on the request of countries on individual basis. He said if this demand of society is not met Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society will adopt a course of its own choice to deal with the situation. At the end he appreciated efforts of presidents of union council’s ex-servicemen society including Subedar Major Muhammad Aslam Gondal, president Ex-Servicemen Society Union Council Sohawa Diloana for mobilizing retired soldiers to work together for their rights.
