Karachi: May 23, 2012. (PCP) In the Christian Colony, Essa Nagri, Gulshan-e-Iqbal where Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, Parliamentarian, Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh & President All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh resided with his family and now he has turned the same into political office for peoples contact. On 19-05-2012 three persons namely Aftab Bhatti S/o. Khairat Masih aged 40 years, Khurram S/o. Afzal aged 22 years and Khurram S/o. Ishaq aged 15 years were seriously wounded by indiscriminate firing / shooting by some unknown personals. On this occasion, the residents of Essa Nagri intervened and as such the ancestral house of Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar was miraculously saved where Saleem Khursheed Khokhar meet the people every Saturday and Sundays so as to hear their problems. Heartbreaking thing is that the sentiments of Christian community were hurt when on their way back the terrorists attacked 7th Day Church & St. Luke’s Church. As soon as Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar was informed about the bullet injuries sustained by three Christian’s youth he immediately rushed to the residents and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. He assured his full support for their treatment, legal and moral help which would be provided by Khokhar’s Law Associates without causing any expense to them. As the First Information Report in the PIB Police Station was not recorded by the concerned authorities, it was only by the Khohar’s Law Associates Senior Lawyer Mr. Samuel Xavier personally visited the PS PIB and had the F.I.R. No. 125/2012 on 21-05-2012 lodged on the complaint of Mr. Aftab Bhatti who received bullet injuries. Thereafter Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar also condemned attack on Hindu Temple in Peshawar where lord Shiv statute was damaged to pieces and their religious holy book Geeta was burnt and also damaged other religious articles in the Temple and requested the Chief Ministers of Khyber Pakhtoonkhuah and Sindh and IG of both provinces to take immediate action and arrest the culprits.
