Karachi: May 19, 2012. (PCP) Pastor Shahid Saghar, Pastor Robin Raaz and Evangelist Alvic Isaac visited Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, President All Pakistan Minorities Alliance Sindh, Member of Provincial Assembly Sindh & Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh residence and prayed for safety and long life for him and his family members due to recent death threat have been extended to them by the bigots and religious extremists for supporting three Hindu Girls who recently appeared before the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the matter of forced conversion. Also his raising voice for forced conversion and protection of minority’s rights in the Sindh Assembly and continuously defending the controversial issues and discriminatory practices faced by the minorities in Sindh as well in Pakistan. On this occasion, Mr. Saleem Khokhar said that he highly thankful o the Chief Minister Sindh, Law Minister Sindh, the August House of Sindh Assembly, international community and NGOs on human rights for their concern and support on his security matters. He stressed that he and his family members are receiving death threats to the extent that his son Mr. Kalson Aamir Khokhar was kidnapped by the terrorist / extremists and was tortured and manhandled. In this connection, F.I.R. No. 239/09 was lodged in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station, Karachi. Similarly, extremists / terrorists attacked his house with armed men and started indiscriminate firing on his house. In this respect, an FIR was lodged in the Police Station PIB, Karachi He said on 18-04-2012, the undersigned was present to express solidarity with three Hindu Girls in the Hon’ble Supreme Court Islamabad in the case of Rinkle Kumari. After the case of these three Hindus girls few persons addressed the media on their matter and I also addressed on this serious case of forced conversion. Thereafter, I received a frantic text message in roman Urdu on my cell phone No.0300-2583365 from 0306-2397468 which is reproduced as under: - “Is country main sirf Muslim hi aman say reh saktay hain aur kisi ko yahan izzat say nahein rehne dya jayega. Yeh country sirf Musalmanoon k liye he bani hai. Hum kisi mulla ki bay izzati bardasht nahein kar saktay. Chief Justice ka aaj khula ishara hai yeh hindu k lye”. The aforesaid message is nothing but a threat has been extended to him and his family life which he said he feel that he and his family is not safe owing to his support to the minorities in such matters. Therefore, he had no option but submitted an application to the S.H.O. Police Station Clifton, District South Karachi on 20-04-2012. With the intervention of Law Minister of Sindh Mr. Ayaz Soomro FIR No. 93/2012 dated 28-04-2012 was registered at PS Clifton, No arrest has been made so far. Owing to the above he and his family apprehend danger to our life and property and as such he humbly appealed the Government of Sindh and concerned authorities to book the culprits and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
