Philadelphia: May 17, 2012. (PCP) Formation of Judicial Commission headed by acting Justice of High Court was demanded to investigate killings of Martyr Bishop John Joseph and former federal minister for minorities affair Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti in a session of Pakistani Christian Diaspora in USA and different organizations participating to mark 14th anniversary of Martyr Bishop John Joseph on May 13, 2012. Bishop John Joseph was found dead of gunshot wound in darken corridors of Sahiwal Session Court, in city of Sahiwal in Punjab province of Pakistan on May 6, 1998. On May 6, 1998, Bishop John Joseph of Catholic Diocese of Faisalabad, reached in Sahiwal city to participate in a protest rally against conviction of Ayub Masih under blasphemy charges. Martyr Bishop John Joseph voiced against blasphemy law in a gathering of thousands at 4; 00 PM, on same day and demanded immediate release of Ayub Masih, a Catholic Christian from Sahiwal who was sentenced to life imprisonment. Martyr Bishop John Joseph was only voice on national and international forums against controversial blasphemy laws in Pakistan. He staged many rallies and hunger strikes on victimization of Christians in Pakistan which was disliked by government of Pakistan. The mysterious death of Bishop John Joseph sparked anger among Christians in Pakistan when a section of media released photos of dead body in blood bath lying on ground which homicide experts viewed that cannot be a position of a person committing suicide. There was Catholic priest Fr. Farooq who drove Bishop John Joseph to compound of Session Courts of Sahiwal at 9; 00 PM after rally and meetings with Christian elders. Martyr Bishop John Joseph went alone in corridors of Session Court Sahiwal building and then Fr. Farooq heard sound of gunshot and rushed to compound where he found Bishop John Joseph dead. The Christians of Pakistan in general and Christians of Sahiwal city in particular ruled out possession of pistol by Bishop John Joseph as thousand were hearing his speech in same afternoon protest rally ad later in meetings with Christian elders nor Fr. Farooq saw any pistol or gun when he was driving him to site or incident. There is very important question that Bishop John Joseph have to commit a protest suicide then why he not choose in front of thousands present in protest rally instead of darken lanes of Session Courts. Bishop John Joseph went to Session Courts to meet any high official of government of Pakistan and killed? The 14th anniversary of Martyr Bishop John Joseph was attended by Pakistani Christian Diaspora started with memorial service in St. Williams Church in Philadelphia. Mr. James Khokhar and Mr. Obaid Choudhry were guests of honor from Canada while Mr. Parvez Rafiq Member Punjab assembly was also present. To portray life of Martyr Bishop John Joseph, the speeches were delivered by James Khokhar, Manny Alam, Zeba Gill, Parvez Rafiq MPA, Nazir S Bhatti, Ch. Rasheed Akhter and other leaders.
