ISLAMABAD: May 14, 2012. (Shamim Masih) A Pakistani Muslim man allegedly abducted and raped a 13-year-old Christian girl on Thursday, March 29, 2012, according to her Uncle Asher. The Rev. Gul Irfan Khan of Local Church, Pakistan spoke about this sad event on telephone to PCP correspondent. Her Uncle Asher told PCP that the Muslim men, Irfan Bajwa along with Shahid and another person who lived in the same locality, abducted Anisha Moris, 13, the daughter of Moris Masih a resident of Dhomala Narowal city of Sialkot region of Punjab province, took her to their place and forcibly raped her. Mr. Asher said that the girl went to use toilet in the night time when the Muslim men took her on his motorbike and raped her. Asher said that at first her family thought that she must be to the other house, but when she did not return, he said, "we went out to search for her." He then said that he spoke with neighbors who told him about the alleged culprit and he went to place (dhera) and went into the room through roof hole, and found the alleged rapist who promptly ran away hurling death threats at him and threatened to implicate him in police cases and told him that "I would face dire consequences." The father then reported the matter to the Saddar Police Station and, on his complaint; the Saddar Police Station's Station, Narowal did not register a case against the Muslim man for raping a Christian girl. Next day when family found their girl and protested against that Muslims people, the family of that girl was beaten including ladies. Nosheen wife of Asher was pregnant, lost her baby after beaten by Muslim family, told Asher. Then they went to the civil hospital for the medical report, even then doctor didn’t give the actual report because those people are very influential and doctors were afraid if they did justice, they will suffer, told Asher. I personally know that Muslim in the villages domineering Christians like their slaves and this is because Christians’ are socially and financially weaker than Muslims.” Sohail Tariq (SHO) Narowal Police station wrote the statement of the girl under section 164, but didn’t initiate First Investigation Report (FIR) so far. Not only this, the culprits got their house illegally and compel them from their house and claim that house was owned by them, so the family is roaming about in the other cities. Local police and civil hospital management are not cooperating. Local print and electronic media was not highlighting this issue. The family is in contact with me and I am trying to provide them shelter and justice, which doesn’t seem possible under this circumstances in Pakistan.
