MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Unknown assailants opened fired at a Qadiyani religious place Bait-ul-Zikar killing 8 worshippers and fourteen other seriously injured during Fajr prayers here on Friday morning.
According to details, at least 22 Qadiyanis were busy praying in Bait-ul-Zikar during Fajr on Friday morning, when suddenly unknown assailants opened random firing resulting in the death of six Qadiyanis on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries later in the hospital, Mandi Bahuddin.
The Qadiyanis who died included Sardar Muhammad Aslam, Naveed s/o Waheed, Abid s/o Ashraf, Raja Abdul Waheed Altaf Ahmed, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Ashraf s/o Allah Dita, Lehrasab s/o Muhammad Iqbal.
The injured Qadiyanis included Umer Farooq, Sajid s/o muhammad Ashraf, Raja Basharat s/o Raja Bashir, Syed Mehmood s/o Syed Sadiq, Ayub s/o Muhammad Yaqoob, Tauseef s/o Waheed, Sajid s/o Jalal, Ghulam Muhammad, Bilal s/o Afzal, Muhammad Shahzad s/o Nasrullah, Sharat s/o Ramzan, Amir s/o Altaf, Muhammad Khan s/o Muhammad Ashraf, Abu Hurara s/o Nasrullah.
Meanwhile four seriously hurt Qadiyanis were shifted to CMH Kharian where their condition is said to be precarious
