Karachi: April 17, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has strongly condemned government of Punjab on lodging false FIR against Baba-e-Masihi Quom Professor Salamat Akhter in City Police Station Rawalpindi. It is shameful for Rawalpindi administration that it dares to register a theft case of two pieces of wood of length from 3 to 2 feet against Baba-e-Masihi Quom Professor Salamat Akhter who is a prominent Christian educationist and also heads a nationwide Christian political party named All Pakistan Christian League APCL. According to sources of Pakistan Christian Post, Professor Salamat Akhter who have residence in Gordon College Rawalpindi, during Easter Celebration gave two pieces of wood to a Muslim resident in vicinity from his home which was dislike by Muslim Principal of college. According to information’s, the decisions of the courts right from the District to the Apex courts, Sialkot Mission of the Presbyterian Church in (USA) 6 Empress Road, Lahore is exclusively the owner of property housing Gordon college consisting of 81 Kanals and 13 Marlas. The Gordon College Rawalpindi was nationalized in 1972, by Pakistan People Party PPP government in a wake to nationalize Christian missionary Schools, Colleges and Hospitals in Pakistan while residential properties in vicinities of these institutions were not taken over by government. Meanwhile, PCC Central Executive Council members in an emergency meeting expressed anger on false fabricated cases against Professor Salamat Akhter and demanded government of Punjab to immediately withdraw cases. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that if Punjab government will hesitate to withdraw cases against Professor Salamat Akhter then Pakistan Christian Congress PCC will be forced to raise this issue on International Forums. Pakistan Christian Post was able to get copy of letter written to Chief Minister of Punjab by Christian residents of Gordon College which still need any action. The Principal of the Gordon College has nothing to do with it. (Documents will be shown at the time of investigation) Sir, Some sane and the wise principals like Dr.Zaidi, Dr.Gulzar Ahmed Khan and Professor Talab Hussain accepted the ownership of the Sialkot mission but Dr. Qayyum is following very different path. He is so bigot and prejudiced that he is following a Genocidal policy towards the Christian Residents in the Gordon college compound. Kindly direct the higher authorities to investigate the position of Christian professors, clerks, demonstrator’s students and sanitary workers. You will be shocked to know the facts and condition of the Christians. Sir, the position of the Christians residing in the campus is very critical, Principal is misusing his power and with the support of the Politicians, District Administration and members of the Gordon College board and they have made our life a Hell. Sir, since I am a voice of the voiceless Christians, He is ever planning to harm me. Recently I, asked my son to clean the peace of Land for the Easter function. Out of Christian love, I gave a spoiled piece of wood to a poverty stricken Muslim brother for use from my own house. Principal of the college found it best opportunity and by misusing his power he registered FIR against me to steal a piece of wood (FIR no. 102 in City Police Station).We to contacted the District Administration but it look like they are also part of this planning this plot against me by Principal of the Gordon college and were not ready to even hear us.
