Reading from a prepared text, Deamer said, "As a Christian, and as an American woman who revers our Founding Fathers, men who declared that the rule of law should be balanced with the pursuit of happiness through freedom of religious and cultural expression, I call upon our government to stand by its previous determination (set forth in the Kerry-Lugar bill), to withdraw support from allies who abuse their own citizens, whether members of religious or ethnic minorities."
Billions of dollars of U.S. taxpayer’s monies have gone to Pakistan in the form of aid since the 911 terrorist attacks.
