Hurricane Katrina has changed lives of all American. Mehwish Rashid

Philadelphia. Ms. Mehwish Rashid, Secretary General, Christian League of Pakistan in America PA said that Hurricane Katrina has changed the lives of all Americans, particularly the displaced Black women, men and children who survived its wrath. Their pain is being felt by everyone around the country and internationally. Hurricane Katrina is without question, the worst natural disaster to impact American History. We all Americans and the immigrants feel the pain of this disaster and we think that all the efforts that are being provided are very less to compare this actual tragedy. Every American can participate in critical ways to support the relief efforts for thousands of evacuees. Giving dollars, time, goods, services or prayers are within the sphere of possibilities for each and every one of us. She said that there have been especial prayers offered by different denominations and multiple cultures at our church St. Williams for the cure and remedy of our brothers and sisters in New Orleans. There have been several fund raising programs and we will continue with our social, moral and spiritual help primary duty until our souls are satisfied with the contemporary situations. We are really moved by the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, as they are intolerable to bear. We are compelled, as are so many others in the U.S. and foreign countries, to offer whatever assistance we can.
