LARKANA: March 19, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) No where about millions of development schemes/projects in Larkana district, the Administration and ruling PPP have been failed to implement the vision and mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto in four years, civil society demanded NAB to take about Rs. 9895.831 corruption in Larkana. According to detailed projects by the present government with THE administration swanked the following projects including the establishment of Public Health College at Larkana in premises of Chandka Medical College (CMC) Larkana with a cost Rs. 371.406 million approved from CDWP on 17-11-2008 and later upgraded with a cost Rs. 5.0 million and Three Information Technology (IT) University H.E.C. and I.T Department too. Irrigation and Power Extension of Salar distributory to supplement Saifullah Magsi branch system, which will further cultivate 35000 Acres of Land. 5 beautification schemes of rice canal both sides and approved millions but no work witnessed yet. Whereas, the road schemes under the National Highway Authority (NHA) and other departments, rehabilitation/construction of circular road around Larkana city about 24 Km, (24' wide) and dualization/rehabilitation of Indus Highway roads through Larkana city and widening of bridges over the canals upto 10 km. NHA will carry out rehabilitation of Banguldero to Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto that is peripheral road 26 ft. wide including both sides storm water drain with a cost Rs. 236.300 million approved by the PDWP on 25-09-08. Simultaneously rehabilitation of road schemes on the bank of Rice Canal from Bus-stand to Chandka Bridge mile 3.50 Km 18 ft. wide with a cost Rs. 40.313 million already approved by PDWP on 25-09-08. Further construction of foot bridges hanging bridges and wooden Bridges over the Rice Canal in the precincts of Larkana city 350 R-ft. each. cost Rs. 66.780 million already approved by PDWP on 25-09-08. While, further rehabilitation of internal roads with asphalt concrete including development of foot paths for pedestrians traffic and storm water drains 145 Km with a cost Rs. 2932.708 million approved under the CDWP on 10-10-08. There are further rehabilitation of roads in Larkana city 40 km, Shahdadkot town 20 km, Ratodero town 20 km, Naudero town 10 Km, Kambar town 12 Km, Warah town 8 Km, Nasirabad town 8 Km, Badeh town 8 km, Dokri 5 km, Mirokhan town 5 km, Qubbo Saeed Khan town 4 km, Arija town 2 km and Sujawal town 2 km. For cleanliness and streets lightening in all the towns with underground cabling Rs. 499.682 million plus Rs. 346.617 million under the PDWP cleared on 25-09-2008 and directed to the provincial government for funding, but yet all the towns and streets are plunged into the darkness and now cleanliness. Further rehabilitation/widening of Dokri Badeh and Nasirabad Warah road miles about 22 and 36 km 12 to 18' ft. wide including both sides storm water drain, the cost Rs. 368.257 million approved by PDWP on 25-09-08. The construction of bridge over Rice Canal near Kehar Gadani road 355 R.ft. including approach road with a cost Rs. 55.058 million approved by PDWP on 25-09-08. The construction of bridge over Rice Canal on Ratodero Naudero road near Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto 350 Rft. including approach road cost Rs.57.178 million approved under PDWP on 25-09-08. The construction of bridge over Rice canal adjacent to C.M.C. Bridge 350 Rft: including approaches cost Rs. 53.443 million, Rehabilitation of road Kamber Ratodero via Thoof Chousul road 22 and 36 km with 18 ft. wide with a cost Rs. 369.647 million. The rehabilitation of Radhan Moen-jo-Daro road 13 and 21 km with 18 ft. wide both sides storm water drain with a cost Rs. 215.548 million. The rehabilitation of Badeh Moen-jo-Daro road mile 0/0-6/4 (10.40 Km) with 18 ft. wide both sides storm water drain with a cost Rs. 106.183 million all approved by PDWP on 25-09-08 udner the Works and Services Department Sindh government. When observed there is a huge corruption in the schemes witnessed, if the work is done, what and where physically exists, nobody knows that the corruption have been committed by the authorities. It is still a dream of founder PPP Z. A Butto and Benazir Bhutto they had desired for Larkana a model district or city. The civil society have demanded the authorities government to initiate the probe into the billions of projects under the NHA, Works and Services, Agriculture Department and several other concerned involve in a huge corruption of funds misuse.
