Philadelphia: February 19, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said that Pakistani Christian Diaspora in USA and EU is seriously considering to launch lobbyist group to invite US Congress and EU Parliament to move resolutions for due share of Christians in resources of federation of Pakistan, representation proportional to population in parliament, direct election instead of selection on reserved seats in all democratic institutions and repeal of blasphemy law. Commenting on US Resolution on Balochistan, Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that it is not interference in internal affairs of Pakistan because Pakistan have been demanding right of self-determination for Kashmiri and Palestinian Muslims in Pakistani parliament and in United Nations from decades but never termed it as interference in internal affairs of India and Israel. “When Pakistan representative in United Nations Security Council and UN General assembly voices for human rights of Syrian and supported UNSC Resolution 1973 for due rights of Libyan civilians then why he forgot Baloch civilians whom Pakistan Armed forces were killing in Balochistan and Muslim mobs were burning alive Christians in Pakistan” added Nazir Bhatti The PCC Chief said that Pakistan intended to champion Islamic laws through “Defamation of Religion Resolution” in UNHRC in Geneva to globalize Blasphemy laws that innocent citizens in other countries may be killed and victimized by such controversial Islamic laws neglecting demand of 20 million Pakistani Christians to repeal of these laws Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistan have never respected human rights of religious and ethnic minorities of Pakistan but used force to suppress their voice and never hesitated on enforced disappearances, extra-judicial killings and arrests in fabricated cases. Baloch were crying for justice and due share in resources of Balochistan and demanding provincial autonomy since 1973 but none of leaders from Punjab enjoying in federation attempted invited them on dialogue table and sought solution of Balochistan through military operation which have forced them to approach International forums. Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistani Christians are demanding direct election on reserved seats instead of selection and repeal of blasphemy law but Pakistani Muslim leaders and government have closed door of any dialogue with true Christian leadership in Pakistan which will force Pakistani Christian Diaspora to invite support of International forums for their basic equal rights. “I condemn statements of Christian tools of Muslim leaders and Pakistan establishment that Christians are enjoying equal rights in Pakistan because it is not true” said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti said that Christians have 6 seats in National Assembly of Pakistan in 1973, which were reduced to 4 in 1985 and in 2012, we have only 2 seats, which proves that Christian representation is in process of elimination in Pakistan while Christians are 13% of population and number one minority. Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistani Christians demand end of genocide of Baloch in Balochistan and due rights for 20 million Pakistani Christians.
