LARKANA: February 12, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) Peoples Lawyers Forum (PLF) Larkana enjoys victory during the District Bar Association (DBA) Larkana elections held under the supervision of 5th additional session Judge Manzoor Ali Khamisani. After the passage of five years the candidates of Peoples Lawyers Forum Larkana declared successful in DBA election 2012. The successful Advocates among advocate Abdul Hamid Bhurgri for President obtained total 325 votes including 34 challenged votes, while for Vice President advocate Leela alias Kalpana Devi received Total 312 including 33 challenged votes, for General Secretary, simultaneously Shahid Iqbal Siyal obtained total 266 including 33 challenged votes. Whereas, Treasurer Zafarullah Soomro 297 including challenged 32 votes, For Joint Secretary Aqeel Ahmed Bhutto secured total 265 votes including 32 challenged votes, For Library Secretary Naeem Raja Shahani got 295 votes including 33 challenged votes and seven Members of Management committee of PLF candidates were also elected. Opponent for Muhammed Saleem Jessar who could get only 107 votes including one challenged vote, for Vice President Ghulam Rasool Abro got total 123 votes, for General Secretary Rashid Mustafa Solangi could obtain total 191 including two challenged votes, for treasurer Javed Ahmed Sooomro received 131 votes, for Joint Secretary Muhammed Imran Abbasi got 149 votes including 2 challenged votes, for Library secretary Afzal Jagirani begged only 156 votes where as all there candidates for member of management committee were defeated by PLF candidates. President Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MNA Faryal Talpur, Law Minister Muhammed Ayaz Soomro, Provincial Minister for Local Government Aga Siraj Durani, MPA Haji Munawar Ali Abbasi and PPP Leaders and workers congratulated to new elected body of District Bar Association Larkana and expressed hope that new Office bearers will serve the Lawyers community. Later, elected office bearers of DBA led by President Abdul Hamid Bhurgri visited Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and placed floral wreath on grave of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto.
