LARKANA: January 31, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) US Ambassador Cameron Munter on Tuesday said that they will closely monitor the debate in parliament about Nato attack on Salala check post that killed 24 Pakistan soldiers, was not a planned and it will be ensured that such incidents do not re-occur in future. Speaking to a group of media during his visit at historic Moen-Jo-Daro sites, US diplomat said the attack was an incident and US nation feels sorrow over the demise. He said America wants to keep people to people relationship with the Pakistan and negative perception should be removed through dialogue’ Munter said. Cameron Munter further said that US would help Pakistan by USAID funds to restore the archaeological sites including Stoopa and other historical areas. He said US will also help the flood victims for the rehabilitation of different sectors and in this regard US based fund and INGOs already working for the immediate rehabilitation of flood affected people across the country. Earlier, Counsel General William Martin along with lady Marylyn received US diplomat at Moen-Jo-Daro Airport and visited the archeological sites and also visited the Museum and other ancient articles. On the occasion, Curator Irshad briefed US ambassador about different sites and its necessities. Later, US envoy left for the Sukkur in a high level security and visited Sadhoo Belo, where, he met with the notables and Chambers of Commerce and Industry members on the occasion.
