Karachi; January 30, 2012. (PCP) Sindhiyani Tahreek is most popular and largest political group in the South Asia which is playing their active role since 1976 in the leadership of Veteran and dynamic Politician Rasool Bux Palijo. Since then there is no single week which can be proved as without activity by Sindhiyani Tahreek in Sindh.
Yesterday’s successful strike against 20th amendment bill tabled by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), in Hyderabad, Sindhyani Tehreek took out a rally from Hyder Chowk to SP Chowk, during which the protesters clashed with the police and same situation occurred in Karachi when huge crowd of MQM activists stopped marching Sindhiyani Tahreek on MA Jinnah road; 02 women injured and in other parts of Sindh nearly 117 party workers were detained. He said that many PPP workers and policemen had attacked AT’s workers.
Daily Newspaper Pakistan Post reported that “Activists of the Awami Tehreek (AT) and its women’s wing Sindhyani Tehreek took out a protest rally in Saddar and staged a sit-in at the MA Jinnah Road, which was blocked by them, as they chanted slogans against the 20th amendment and the probable plan to divide Sindh.
A political party’s activists, who had approached the demonstrators on a dozen or so motorcycles started asking AT members to stop their protest and vacate the road, but the protesters refused to do so, which resulted in a clash between the male members of both parties, whereas the female members of AT’s women’s wing also attacked the motorcyclists with their flags, forcing them to escape without their vehicles.
Irate AT activists continued their demonstration on the MA Jinnah Road, blocking it for several hours”.
