(PCP) The leaders of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance APMA vowed to continue mission of Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti here today when gathered from every province of Pakistan to mark 84th birth anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto with cake cutting ceremony at Karachi Press Club.
Dr. Paul Bhatti, Chairman of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance and Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan on National Harmony ministry, saleem Khursheed Khokhar MPA, President of Sindh APMA and Chairman on Standing Committee on Minorities Affair Sindh government, Chaudhary Tahir Naveed MPA Punjab, Jaffar George, President APMA Balochistan and Minister in Government of Balochistan, Mr. Pitambar Sehwani MPA Sindh, Mr. Atta Huhammad former MPA and many other APMA leaders participated in celebrations of ZA Bhutto birth anniversary.
Jointly addressing a Press Conference wherein Dr. Paul Bhatti brother of former Federal Minister on Minority Affairs and Central Chairman All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) stated that he had come to Karachi after the martyr of my brother Shahbaz Bhatti (Late) to meet the people of Sindh and also to cut the 84th Birthday Cake of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Founder Pakistan People’s Party alongwith my friends in Sindh. He said that the Martyr of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is beacon light for the people struggle because APMA is jointly struggling with the Peoples Party to safeguard the equal rights of the minorities in Pakistan.
On this occasion Dr. Paul thanked Government of Pakistan that the Peoples Government has reserved 4 seats for minorities one each from every province of Pakistan. Besides, this Government has been very kind to fix 5% quota in Government employment for minorities. He stressed that it is our earnest desire to establish Prayer Rooms in the Prisons / Jails of Pakistan for Prisoners belonging to Minority Communities.
Dr. Paul told Journalists that as you are aware that after the martyr of late Shahbaz Bhatti, it is quite difficult to work and replace him because it is the path way to death / martyrdom. However, we would continue his mission even if we have to face death. In order to arrest such serious problems although it is difficult in the present situation where extremism / fundamentals and bigotry is the order of the day in Pakistan, we would definitely fulfill our mission with love, peace and friendship, and would win such elements.
On this occasion, Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, MPA, President APMA Sindh & Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh Assembly also added and said that recently Mr. Nawaz Sharif, President of Muslim League (N) said very loudly that after coming into power the (N) League would establish Military Courts to bring peace in the City of Karachi, he condemn his statement and he said that this kind of statement by Nawaz Sharif is nothing but dictatorial thought supporting dictatorship, this is an intrigue against the supremacy of Parliaments as well against democracy, whereas, the APMA along with Peoples Party jointly struggle to restore democracy in Pakistan. Mr. Saleem Khursheed stressed that the APMA along with the President Asif Ali Zardari would defeat all such intrigues in Pakistan. Soon after Dr. Paul alongwith Saleem Khursheed Khokhar President APMA Sindh and others jointly cut the 84th Birthday Cake of Quaid-e-Awam Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at the press club.
