President Zardari orders investigation of corruption in LDP

LARKANA: January 1, 2012. (Nazir Siyal) On the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari, a high level enquiry have been ordered to investigate the corruption and misuse of billions of funds of Larkana Development Package (LDP) and other mega projects, in this regard Chairman Sindh Peoples Development Committee (SPDC) sacked on the corruption charges told the sources. On the eve of 4th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, the President Asif Ali Zardari had received complaints of misuse and corruption charges on Chairman SPDC and senior vice president of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Larkana chapter. President directed the Chief Minister Sindh Sayed Qaim Ali Shah for removal of both responsibilities and investigation of corruption charges. According to the notification few days back PPP district Larkana announced for the former PPP MNA Hizbullah Bughio. Local PPP leaders had submitted complains about Mr. Soomro, during the stay of President Asif Ali Zardari at Naudero House on December 26 and 27, than decided to remove him from both the designations and ordered a high level inquiry against him sources told. Acting upon the complaints regarding corruption of billions of rupees in the funds of Larkana Development Package and other development schemes in Sindh, President Asif Ali Zardari had sacked the chairman of Sindh Peoples Development Committee Shafqat Soomro. It is pertinent to be mentioned here that there are several other schemes are still in doldrums and billions of rupees have been embezzled among the presidential schemes of Neem Tree Plantation.
