What happened after independence of Pakistan in 1947? The governments denied rights of religious minorities and ignored promises made by Founder of Pakistan.
The present government have abolished rights for minorities to elect their leaders in Parliament and imposed their tools through Selection to end their voice.
Mr. J Salik, former federal minister for Population Planning is raising voice for rights and stressed upon Election for Minorities in parliament on reserved seats and moved his Petition in Supreme Court of Pakistan which is pending over a year.
He invites lawyer fraternity on January 2, 2012, in capital city Islamabad and presenting “2012 Justice Cake” to remind insurance of Justice towards minorities in Pakistan.
According to a press release issued by World Minorities Alliance which is led by Mr. Salik “A Cake ceremony will be held in the hope that in Pakistan concerted and viable format for minorities’ seats election is involved. The criteria for ten reserved seats of minorities in National Assembly and also reserved seats of Provisional Assemblies Are changed from election to selection system which violates Article 226 of the Constitution 1973 of Pakistan. In 2012 we hope that these seats are restored, on direct election basis”
