No visitation allowed to blasphemy victim Asia Bibi in jail on Christmas

Lahore: December 24, 2011. (PCP) Non of family member is allowed to visit any victim of Blasphemy law in jails of Pakistan on Christmas Day. Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of five children, sentenced to death on blasphemy and waiting for her appeal in Lahore High Court LHC in high security cell in District Jail Seikhupura will not be able to offer Christmas services or to see her daughters and husband as it is not permitted by authorities in Punjab. There are other more than dozen Christian victims of blasphemy in different jails of Punjab province of Pakistan who will also be waiting for their families visit on Christmas Day but will never be able to meet them. A blasphemy victim khurram Masih was seen crying in courthouse today on December 24, 2011, when he was produced in court for hearing. Khurram Masih was arrested on accusation of burning pages of Holy Quran on December 6, 2011, from Shahdara Town, a kilometer away from central Lahore. Mr. Khalid Shahzad, Chairman of Voice of Christian Concern told Pakistan Christian Post PCP that Khurram Masih was crying loudly in courthouse and saying "Where is my Christmas, I will be not be able to offer my Christmas prayers in my high security cell no 4 of District Camp Jail Lahore"                                  Today C D I Lawyers, Mr Niaz Aamar presented Khurram Masih at Duty Magistrate Rana Rashid who substitute of Waseem Anjum who is listening this blasphemy case against Khuram Masih To day Khuram Masih was presented to the lower court with tight security. Khurram Masih told team of Voice of Christian Concern that he was beaten badly by police after arrest to force him to confess the act of burning pages of Quran. He also told that from last three days he never ate any thing and he never gave any thing to eat.  Another Christian blasphemy victim named Irfan Masih who was attacked by islamists on accusation of blasphemy on December 20, 2011,  in Kasur City and critically injured by knife was in  critical condition a lahore hospital. The blasphemy victim Asia Bibi and others will not be given special food on Christmas in jails nor will be able to pray which is noticed by many human right organizations and protested. Outside Jails of Pakistan Christians will be also in situation like a jail when they will offer Midnight Christiamas services with commando snipers on roofs and police pickets around Churches. Dr. Nasir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC thanked Pakistani electronic media on broadcasting some indoor Christmas cake cutting cermonies which marked presence of Christian in Pakistan and Christmas celebrations.
