LARKANA: December 16, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) Chairman Sindh National Front, Nawab Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has said that the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s speech in the senate has baffled everyone, criticizing that Gilani keeps consoling himself and his party that government would complete its tenure, but on the other hand he also states about government goes, it will be the end of democracy.
In a press statement issued on Friday, he said present government not fulfilling its pledge to catch Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s killers and provide the people roti, kapra aur makan and instead protecting her killers, just as it is protecting Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto’s killers, and by indulging in massive corruption that has only given the people hunger, poverty and destitution, lost its mandate within a few months after coming to power.
He revealed that the Zardari feels so threatened not only does he dare not step outside his bunker in Aiwan-e-Sadar but did not venture forth even under heavy security to say farewell to his dying father in a nearby hospital.
Mumtaz Bhutto further said President does not feel safe in seeking treatment in a local hospital and had to go to Dubai instead, does such a person, who claims to be an elected president have a right to occupy that post or be the head of the largest party in the country?,
Sindh Nationa Front leader said pesent PPP government is no different from any undemocratic dictatorship and has incurred such wrath of the people that the president can not feel safe anywhere in the country and other members of government can not leave home without heavy security arrangements. In such circumstances, any change will be better than the present set up and people will welcome it.
