December 10, 2011.
Sub: Permission of PTI rally on December 25, 2011, in Karachi, may be denied keeping in view Christmas Day services of Christians.
Sir,
We Christians of Sindh draw your kind attention to deny permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI to hold a rally in Karachi on December 25, 2011, as its Christmas Day on which Sindhi Christians perform religious rituals and pay visits to their friend and relatives with additional get-to-gather celebrations which may be disturbed due to this rally.
The different Christian organizations from all over Pakistan in general and from Karachi in particular have frequently appealed to Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman of PTI to postponed rally of 25th December 2011, keeping in view Christmas celebration of Pakistani Christians but it seems that he have no respect for Christianity nor emotions of two million Christians of Karachi.
Therefore, we request your honor to not issue any permission to PTI to hold rally on December 25, 2011, which can create law and order situation in Karachi and feared attacks of extremists Muslim groups on Christians which are part of PTI.
We wish to bring in your kind notice that PTI rally in Lahore have trucks with banners and boards with pictures such as (Face of Holy Father Pope as head of German Dog and slogans against Christianity; Photo of one truck hoarding attached) which created anger among Christians.
we hope that PTI permission to hold rally on Christmas day will be denied or cancelled which can spread hate among religion in Pakistan on Christmas Day.
Thanks.
