BJP (Hindu) leader rejects panel report on conversion

Madhya Pradesh. Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC) demands an unconditional apology from the RSS, VHP (World Hindu Council) and other Sangh Parivar outfits for spreading the Canard and concocted lies to demonize the Christians and for spearheading hate against Christians and for instigating sectarian violence in different parts of India. The report emphasis that unlike the authors of so called forced/enticed conversion in the tribal area. The report of the single-member panel, set up by the BJP government, had claimed that missionaries were engaged in mass conversions BJP's senior most tribal leader Mr Dileep Singh Bhuria has debunked the report of a government-appointed panel claiming that Christian missionaries were engaged in mass conversion of tribals in the Jhabua district of the state Madhya Pradesh in India. "Tribals were too self-respecting and honest to embrace Christianity either due to coercion or inducements. All RSS allegations in this regard are fabricated". GCIC demands the immediate removal of DIRECTORGENERAL OF POLICE and other officials from the government service for misleading the people of India with a doctored report. (The recent report of the government) GCIC also constrained to demand the dismissal of the Madhya Pradesh government for failing to give protection for Christians and for constitutional obligation to uphold the guarantees given to every section of the society .We also urge the president of India to quiz the Madhy Pradesh state government for its deliberate attempts to misuse its official machinery to instigate violence against Christians on behalf of the radical Sangh Parivar outfits. "The state government report is a tissue of lies," said Dileep Singh Bhuria, who represented Jhabua in the Lok Sabha for more than a decade. The report of the single-member enquiry panel headed by a former director general of police has found that conversions led to violence in the Jhabua district. It claimed that the Christian population of Jhabua had registered over eighty per cent growth between 1991-2001. The panel was appointed by former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharati in February last year, after violence broke out in Jhabua following the discovery of the dead body of a Hindu minor girl from the premises of a missionary school. The girl was raped before being killed. (This was the handy work of Hindu radicals to malign the Christians) Though the report is yet to be officially released, substantive portions of the 100-page document were leaked to the media, ostensibly at the behest of the government Mr. Bhuria told a seminar here on Sunday that: "Tribal were too self-respecting and honest to embrace Christianity either due to coercion or inducements. All RSS allegations in this regard are fabricated". He also said that if it were so easy to convert tribal, the entire tribal population of the country would have become Christian during the 200 years of British rule. We once again appeal to the civil society to debunk the hue and cry on so called mass conversions into Christianity .The Christian population even after 2000 years of its existence in India remains to be less than 2.4%. The hate mongering about conversion is a deliberate attempt to blunt the efforts by Christians to provide an equitable society among the least and to the lost
