LARKANA: December 8, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Commissioner Larkana Division Syed Asif Hyder Shah has urged upon the officers of NHA and SMBBMU Larkana that they should realize their responsibilities by working with dedication and complete development schemes especially Larkana Development Package (LDP) and ensure the quality of the work any kind of slackness in this regard will not be tolerated at any cost. In a high level meeting presided by him, he also reviewed the progress of development schemes of SMBBMU Larkana and various roads being constructed under Larkana Development Package to implementation of the directives of President Of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. The Commissioner stress the need that Moen Jo Daro to Larkana Raod may be completed on war footing basis and to ensure the quality of the work, During the meeting General Manage NHA Abdul Aziz Langah informed that under Larkana Development package 275 Kilometer of Roads were being constructed out of which the internal Road of Larkana city were already constructed under the Program, besides the work on Road from Lakhi Ghulam Shah to Larkana via Naudero is in full swing out of 61 Kilometer Road 53 Kilometers road will be completed by December 25, 2011. He also told that the work on Ratodero to Naudero Road, Larkana to Kamber Road, Larkana to Naseerabad Road, Larkana to Moen-Jo-Daro Road and Larkana to Rasheed Wagan Raod which will be completed in due course of time. G.M informed the meeting that out of 28 Kilometer Larkana-Moen jo Daro Road 21 Kilometer one side Road can be completed by December 25,2011. During the meeting the Deputy Commissioner Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari, Commissioner I Fayaz Hussain Jatoi, Commissioner II Muhammad Shareef Shaikh, Deputy Commissioner Kamber-Shahdadkot Agha Abdul Raheem Pathan, Deputy Commissioner Jacobabad Sajid Jamal Abro, EDO Revenue Larkana Asadullah Abro, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur also participated in the discussion and gave suitable suggestion for completing the Development Schemes and all other concerned officers were present in the meeting. Further the meeting was briefed by the Vice Chancellor SMBBMU Prof: Akber Hyder Soomro about the University development, he told that 220 Acer land for the establishment of SMBBMU at Airport road was acquired and the boundary wall will be constructed in short possible time, besides after the approval of PC I which is pending at Higher Education Commission will be started on war footing basis. He also said that the repair and maintenance work of internal roads and Hostels/Bungalows of doctors is being carried out according to the standard here at CMC Larkana by Sindh Buildings Department. The Vice Chancellor also informed the meeting that the seats for admission of Post Graduate Students in different fields will be increased but there will be need of more teaching staff. He said that the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari Inaugurated the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Baby Asifa Dental College Larkana at President House Naudero on June 21, 2011 and he desired that the college was being established under the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto first Women Prime Minister of the World, added the University Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Nursing College will also be established
