LARKANA: December 1, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Provincial Minister for Law and Jail Department Mohammad Ayaz Soomro has said that there is need of establishment of new barracks of the prisons for the different districts of Sindh, as with complete facilitation and new construction where the prisoners’ relatives take advantage of meeting in a good environment.
While visiting the central prison district and Women Jail Larkana here on Thursday, Provincial Minister said B class barracks in Larkana and Shaheed Benazirabad prisons will be setup, every jail of Sindh will be provided computer facilities, School, PCO and small technical industrial units will also be provided for the prisoners eh said.
Provincial Minister informed that salaries of Jail police have been made equal to Sindh Police, besides 10 percent son quota has been approved. Minister also visited deferent barracks of prison at district jail Larkana and mat with the prisoners, while inquired their matters, regarding the provision of jail manual facilities.
He also announced ten thousand for poor prisoners as a legal aid, he also visited ongoing repairing work of deferent barracks on the occasion.
Provincial Minister also directed to the Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghaffar Dahar for plantation of trees inside the prison and establishing a park.
Provincial Minister also announced 0.8 million rupees for the treatment of four disable children of Jailer Nisar Ahmed Memon on the occasion.
Muhammad Ayaz Soomro also inaugurated the medical camp for screening blood test of prisoners regarding Hepatitis and eye camp established by Vice Chancellor SMBBMU Larkana.
On the occasion, DIG Jail, Caption Dr. Abdul Abdul Siddique, MPA Ghulam Mujadid Isran, SSP Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh, Abdul Fatah Bhutto, Apa Naseba Chana, Dr. Amanullah Jokhio and others were present.
