Toronto: November 28, 2011. (PCP) CCA,s sold-out Christmas Banquet 2011, held at Woodbine Banquet and Convention Hall, on Saturday, November 26, attracted large number of Pakistani, Iraqi and Coptic Christians.
Hon. Ted Opitz – MP – Etobicoke Centre extended the Christmas Greetings to the people and presented a Certificate of Recognition and Congratulations to the President of CCA, Obaid Chaudry, on his achievement as president of CCA, on behalf of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper Prime Minister of Canada. In addition, Major Javaid Rahim Bakhsh, president Pakistan Armed Forces Association Canada (PAFAC) and past vice-president CCA highlighted the accomplishments of CCA under the leadership of Obaid Chaudry; a plaque was also presented by Mr. David Dean and David Dean Jr., to recognize Obaid’s leadership excellence by driving initiatives forward for the entire Christian Community. Rev. James Luke, past president CCA, and Mr. Richard Sampson spoke about the accomplishments and transparency of CCA.
Mr. John Gill, CCA executive member and president elect CCA, also read the special Christmas Greetings message from the Right Honourable, Stephen Harper Prime Minister of Canada.
Father Angelos Saad highlighted the persecution issue and presented plaques to the CCA Executive body on behalf of the CCA.
