The controversial Blasphemy law is being misused by Islamic elements to score personal rivalry and business dispute against religious communities in Pakistan.
There have been sad incidents of Muslim mob attacks on Christian properties and burning them alive. There have been dozens of incident of assassination of Christians on pretext to blasphemy.
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have condemned actions of Muslim teacher of Faryal Bhatti who intentionally alleged her Christian student of blasphemy on misspelling “Naat” in her test papers because Christian students are excluded from teaching of Islamic Studies according to Lahore High Court rulings. The Lahore High Court issued decree that non-Muslim shall study Pakistan Movement instead of Islamiat.
“I urge government of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy law as it is hanging like sword on necks of millions of Christians, Hindus and Ahmadi religious communities and hundreds of innocent minority members have been killed by Islamists on pretext to controversial blasphemy law” said Nazir Bhatti
Nazir Bhatti demanded safety of life of Faryal Bhatti and her family and urged Islamic clerics and Islamic political leaders to step forward to stop misuse of blasphemy law against innocent religious minorities.
