New York: August 21, 2011. (PCP) The Christian Action Network (CAN) is happy to announce that the 9/11 anniversary screening tour of Sacrificed Survivors: The Untold Story of the Ground Zero Mosque is officially on! We have the permits to show the film in public parks in New York City and the locations are reserved!
Jason Campbell. Project Director, Christian Action Network told PCP “We originally had difficulty in getting approval from the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) intervened on our behalf, and filed a “demand letter” with the city late last month. The Department responded positively, and has been more than accommodating since. We thank them for their cooperation in getting this tour put together”
Below is the list of dates and locations of our screenings:
Wednesday, 8:00 PM, September 7, 2011, Central Park - Bandshell Area, Manhattan, East 72th – Fifth Avenue
Friday, 8: 00 PM, September 9, 2011, Tompkins Square Park – Bandshell Area, Manhattan, East 7th – East 10th Street

Tuesday, 8; 00 PM, September 13, 2011, Washington Square Park – Garibaldi Plaza, Manhattan5th Avenue – Waverly Place
“We planned this tour in order to give a chance for the 9/11 survivors and victims’ family members to tell their stories through our film. The events will be ones of reflection on what happened that day and what lessons we learned. The objective of the 45-minute film itself is to make a powerful case against the Ground Zero Mosque” said Jason Campbell
“Right now, there are 300 million Americans who all have an opinion on the Ground Zero Mosque, but the ones who matter the most are the people who had to live there, people who lost family members and people who survived those horrific attacks,” said Ryan Mauro, CAN’s National Security Analyst
The film also revives questions surrounding the group behind the Ground Zero Mosque, such as their extremist affiliations and concerns about the project’s funding. In one scene, the leader of the effort, Imam Rauf, is seen insisting that the site is not a mosque. The film then shows footage of Islamic services being held inside the site slated to become the Ground Zero Mosque.
Controversy continues to surround the film, as it is falsely characterized by critics as being anti-Muslim. Congressman Allen West is under fire for hosting a screening of the film in Congress on Wednesday, September 7 at 11:30 am, the kick-off date for the tour. The New York City portion of the tour begins that night in Central Park. Please email Jason Campbell, jpcampbell70@msn.com with any questions or media inquiries.
