HCBA and DBA protest on killing of Lawyer Aslam Dharki

LARKANA: August 12, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) High Court Bar Association (HCBA) and District Bar Association Larkana (DBA) observed joint protest demonstration against the killing of lawyer Mohammed Aslam Buriro in Dharki. Lawyers’ community on protest call of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) gathered in protest and condemned the murder of lawyer and called for immediate arrest of killers. On the occasion, President HCBA Innayatullah Morio, General Secretary DBA Abdul Hamid Bhurgri, Vice President Qadir Bux Bhatti, Abdul Nabi Sario and others said that the lawyers’ community struggled for the protection of rights of others but lawyers were killed by the criminals, which is a condemnable act they said. They demanded of high ups to arrest the killers of advocate Mohammed Aslam and conduct an enquiry into the incident. Meanwhile, Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) before its birth and construction of building facing multiple threats, as the employees are deprived of salaries. According to the employees, they took out protest and staged sit-in outside the Chandka Medical College (CMC) Larkana main gate and chanted slogans against the SMBBMU administration for not paying salaries to the employees. The employees’ leader Sikander Ali Vessar, Sobdar Ali Shaikh, Noor Mohammed Hulio, Salim Abbasi and others said that the University administration have not given salaries to the employees and their families are in miserable condition, they have not purchased clothes and other hosuhold material for the Ramzan and Eid they said.
