Karachi. June 25, 2005. The Rt. Rev. Timotheus Nasir (Archbishop of Siloam Biblical Churches in Pakistan) the prospective candidate in the upcoming election for the office of the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to be held in the year 2007 has published an Enquiry Report regarding the Brenton Carey Girls Hostel Incident dated 11th April 2005 at Karachi. The report on the issue of "Ghazala Shafique - A victimized daughter of Christian Church" published in the Monthly Kalam-e-Haq Magazine in June 2005 issue, published from Gujranwala, Pakistan embarks upon the root causes of the incident and also the on going crises in the Church of Pakistan. To Bishop Timotheus Nasir the scheme behind the incident is to sell the Hostel Land, which is within the territorial jurisdiction of Karachi Diocese and owned by the Lahore Diocesan Trust Association. He said that Ghazala Shafiq tried to save the Church property from being sold and had to face the consequences. Bishop Nasir further stated that the present day leaders of the Church of Pakistan according to Bible are "those whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth, the needy from among mankind. The leech has two daughters. 'Give! Give!' they cry. There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say. 'Enough!' the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, enough!" (Proverbs chapter 30 versus 14 to 16) He added that the Holy Bible further says "Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up: a servant who become king, a fool who is full of food, an unloved woman who is married, and a maidservant who displaces her mistress (Proverbs chapter 30 versus 21 to 23) and to him the root cause of the crises and disputes in the Church of Pakistan is the greediness of it's leadership, he said "the servants have become Kings". Bishop Nasir said that the above-stated verses clearly depict the selfishness and inhumanity of the Church of Pakistan's leadership. Unfortunately the members of the Church of Pakistan have acted unwisely and irresponsibly while electing their leadership, knowingly each and every thing about the leadership to be chosen, they did not scrutinize the immoral and unchristian character of the candidates for the office of the Bishop in the Church of Pakistan. He added that they do not have conviction OR commitment, the leadership of the Church of Pakistan is striving to make money through the resources of the poor Church. The immoral, selfish, and greedy leadership has hijacked the Church of Pakistan to achieve their ulterior motives before getting retired and to accomplish their desires they are trying to become the Kings and Lords of the Church of Pakistan instead of serving as what they need to be. "Regrettably, the 'Prime' thing under which the earth trembles today is the present day leadership of the Church of Pakistan". Said Bishop Nasir. The so-called Enquiry Commission appointed by the self-proclaimed OWNER of the Church of Pakistan and the disputed Moderator, for Ghazala Shafique's case includes retired Army officials, who are just 'Yes Men' to this corrupt leadership, their only job in this Church is to affirm and full-fill what their Master says. They cannot and are not capable of going beyond their limits, set by their Masters. A so-called Commission, which is formed by the Church Property Mafia, cannot be trusted as it is very clear that no LDTA property can be put up for sale without shaking hands with the so-called Chairman of the defunct LDTA. Bishop Timotheus Nasir is of the view that until this corrupt leadership is removed from their offices one cannot have fair, just and productive enquiry. He said that the enquiry of the incidence has been carried out by the Human Rights Commission, Governmental Agencies and various National and International NGO's and their reports are in black and white and needed to be implemented without further delay in order to provide justice to Ghazala Shafique and other victims of the Brenton Carey Girls Hostel. Bishop Nasir also demanded that a timely, appropriate and just enquiry into the mishandling and misappropriation of Church resources and especially in the issue of illegal sale of Church properties should be carried out by the National Accountability Bureau to save the Church resources and to get the looted money back from the corrupt leadership of the Church of Pakistan which is feared to be transferred in the foreign accounts with the help of the CPMPF.
