LARKANA: July 31, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) Sindh Sahafi Sangat (SSS) Larkana Chapter staged protest demonstration for the protection of Sindh Journalists and their proper treatment by Sindh government here at Larkana Press Club (LPC) on Sunday. The protest led by SSS President Larkana district Nazir Siyal, President LPC Zafar Abro and Secretary General Larkana Union of Journalist (LUJ) Dr. Badar Shaikh. They shouted slogans for the health facility and protection of journalists and demanded early treatment by Sindh government, they said the media is the back bone of society but they were neglected by Sindh government, while there are more than 100 senior journalists suffering from various illnesses and they need support and proper treatment by Sindh government. They also said that a summary of about 50 journalists is laying at Chief Minister House for necessary action and implementation but no way. On the occasion, SSS Vice President Sarwar Gadhi, Imtiaz Ali Gorar, Sarkash Sadhayo General Secretary Press Club, Ashiq Pathan, Mohammed Ali Behleem, Mohammed Hanif Suhaq, Mushtaq Tunio and others participate in protest. Meanwhile, senior Larkana citizen and PPP MPA Sindh Assembly Ghulam Sarwer Siyal has said that he was politically victimized by the Punjab police and PML-N and all the drama of action was fake against him in Multan as he is innocent. Speaking to the Press Conference at Larkana Press Club here on Sunday, MPA Sindh Assembly further said that the rulers of Punjab Lahore once hit the PPP, otherwise he is 71 year old and all was a fake against him. He is an innocent and his character is known to every one in Larkana and other parts of Sindh. He said the Court has dispensed justice with him in Multan and bail out from a case, but Punjab police was failed to prove charges against him. He hoped that he would be fairly trial by media on his innocent record as court has made justice with him. He confirmed that the Punjab government has been made and dominated as imperialism by the Sharif brothers of Lahore, but the PPP will not bow before them and by their threats he said. He said the atrocity and antagonistic behavior of Punjab police is condemnable, as he was targed due to the PPP Larkanian he said. He said he will take the matter to the Sindh Assembly session and discussed such an atrocity against the Larkana PPP MPA Sindh Assembly. He told that he was stopped by the Punjab police in Multan, followed and chased him at night, when he reached for stay at guest house, he was brutally thrashed abusive language was used that this is not your Sindh but Punjab he told. On the occasion, PPP local leaders among Suhail Anwer Siyal, Dr. Zulfikar Siyal, Advocate Saeed Ahmed, Advocate Shahid Iqbal Siyal and others were present on the occasion.
