Hindu community protest against stealing of new born baby from hospital

LARKANA: July 22, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) A large number of Oad (Hindu) communities of Naudero took out protest demonstration here in front of CMC Children Hospital Larkana against their stolen 3 year child Shabam here on Wednesday. The several men, women and children relatives along with civil society and citizens staged sit in at Shaikh Zaid Chowk and blocked vehicular traffic for hours and chanted slogans for the recovery of their child. They also chanted slogans against Waleed police for not recovery of their child. They told media men that their patient had admitted in the hospital 10 days before and the child Shabam was along with his attendant mother and he was reportedly stolen/ kidnapped from the scene. Meanwhile, a historical Motel of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) at Moen-Jo-Daro is still in miserable condition, despite of construction and development with a huge cost of Rs. 30 million on it. PTDC Motel/hotel along with Pakistan International Airlines at Moen-Jo0Daro deserted look for the foreign visitors and all its valuable furniture provided by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto government was laying, as well as the Air conditioners and other precious material were removed mysteriously. The renovation and repairing work was prolonged up to two years, instead of completion of the period in three months. As per P-C1 prepared by the Pakistan Tourism Department/Concerned authorities, there were additional 6 rooms in planning, but only 4 rooms were constructed, while two suits vanished. During survey, it was learnt that a well-established swimming pool was filled with mud and heap of garbage, a prevailing conditions of motel are disappointing foreigners and other visitors at Moen-Jo-Daro. A lush and green park of motel has been turned into gray due to negligence and poor development work on the site. Substandard work on PTDC at Moen-Jo-Daro have been witnessed by every visitor as well as the archeological site is under big threat of rain water, while there is no any facility of dispose of the downpour. The representatives of civil society and other dwellers have appealed to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister of Pakistan to conduct enquiry team to probe into the misappropriation of funds and poor development work on PTDC) at Moen-Jo-Daro.
