Reception in honor of Muslim League Quaid leaders

Mandi Bahauddin: July 17, 2011. (Sher Gondal) Present government has not done any development work in the district during last three years, said Hameeda Waheed ex MPA and local leader of PML (Q) here Saturday. She was addressing a reception meeting held in her honor by workers of her party at Irshad colony, a suburban locality of Mandi Bahauddin. Referring to achievements of PML (Q) she said during its tenure sixty and half million rupees were got sanctioned for provision of Sui gas in Mandi Bahauddin and surrounding areas. Project was partially completed during her tenure and many residents were benefiting the facility. Remaining project was in progress for which incumbent PPP parliamentarians were claiming credit falsely. She said during her tenure new government high school was built at place of old courts. A degree college with the support of Asian bank is under construction. A network of farms to market road was constructed and district judicial complex came up during PML Q government. Besides, thousands educated people were provided jobs in government departments. She said the present rulers during last general elections promised that they would bring back commodity rates that were prevalent in 1997 but now prices have increased 300%. Referring to Lal Masque incident, she said people term PML Q as Qatil league for allegedly killing 500 persons in mosque. But during present government rule, 35 thousands person had died as result of suicide and drone attacks and the government was silent. Many of such attacks took place in mosques and Imambaras, she added. Keeping this fact in view people should decide which party was Qatil league ? she asked. She said no party is bad or good. It is the person who matters more. She asked audience to vote in favor of those people who were honest and competent, in the coming general elections. Earlier Ali Hassan Shah welcomed the leader and apprised her problems faced to residents of the locality. They included provision of Sui gas, exclusion of their locality from municipal limits and improvement of drains in the locality. Meanwhile, a raiding team led by Shahid Imran Marth, AC Mandi Bahauddin raided a house in Kashmir Colony and recovered 1200 KG meat of dead animals. Briefing media men, the AC informed that on a tip, he along with veterinary officer and members of raiding team raided the house and found meat of dead animals stored in mangers. On checking, the veterinary officer declared the meat unfit for human consumption, being meat of dead animals. Akram butcher and his one accomplice were arrested on the spot who told that they prepared meat of dead animals at night and dispatched the same before dawn to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum and Faisalabad for various meat shop keepers who sold it to customers. Rest of the seven accused fled from the place of occurrence. Police has registered a case against the culprits under relevant law and further investigation was in progress. Meat being unfit for human consumption was disposed of by burying underground, in presence of the team and media men.
