Clashes in Larkana Jail lead to hostage situation

LARKANA: July 17, 2011. (Nazir Siyal) A clash between Prisoners and Administration of central jail Larkana has been intensified over the shifting of Prisoners to other jail of sindh , four Prisoners injured in shelling by Police , score of prisoners broke the internal front line gate and several prisoners climbed to roof of the barracks in protest burnt cloths and hurled stones on Police cops. Meanwhile heavy contingence of police from deferent police stations including Civil line, waleed Police station, Market Police , Rahmat pur Police station , haidri and others were called to control the situation while the jail Police were helpless to cop the violence protest , on the occasion Local Police resorted the Arial firing and shelling on enraged Prisoners resulting four Prisoners sustained injuries who were identified as Sagar Solangi , Gul Pathan , Hakim Ali Sangro and others . While talking to media men Prisoners told that Jail Administration have disconnected the electricity ,closed Gas supply and deprived from required faculties according to jail manual , they said jail administration was also forcefully shifting to their colleagues to Sukkur , Khair pur , Kamber Shahdad kot and other jails , Other side Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghafar Dahar denied of allegation and said Jail Administration is implementing the court orders and shifting Prisoners due to development work in jail Meanwhile, 26th death anniversary of Shaheed Shanawaz Bhutto younger son of founder PPP and Former Prime Minister Pakistan Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto will be observed on 18th July 2011 at Al Murtaza House Larkana ,on the occasion large number of PPP Shaheed Bhutto across the country will participate to pay glorious tribute to revolutionary leader Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto . PPP(SB) Leaders and workers will be visiting at Garhi khuda bux Bhutto to pay tribute to martyred leader .
