(Sher Gondal) Jamait Islami JI general secretary Liaqat Baluch termed Karachi bloodshed as a conspiracy against innocent people and said criminals’ gangs under the umbrella of ANP, PPP and MQM has free hand to play their dirty role. Addressing a press conference here Sunday along with district Ameer Zaigum, Tehsil Ameer Rashid, JI leader said that carnage of the public was being made under government patronage. A ruthless and indiscriminate operation against illegal arms be launched to de-weaponise the city of the Quid, he urged and said it was US agenda to render Pakistan a failed state and establish Indian hegemony in the region and get control over Pak nuclear assets adding, “Use of army was no solution to any issue and the rulers should appreciate this aspect.” General Kiani had also highlighted this fact when addressing a gathering in Sawat where he said, “politics issues be settled politically and use of army is no solution to resolve crises prevalent in the country.” This way General Kiani has thrown the ball in the court of rulers and now Zardari and Gilani should do the rest, he asserted. He further said rulers have no sympathies with masses and they were busy in transferring all looted money abroad and shedding tears of crocodile. JI leader said federal budget was made on dictation of IMF and World Bank and rulers were throwing petrol, gas and power bombs in order to suck public blood. JI is endeavoring hard to provide alternative leadership in the country and it would observe sit in on July 19 to protest against inefficiency of the rulers. To a question on fate of grand alliance, Baluch said Mian Nawaz made grand alliance in haste and that was serving interests of Zardari. Meanwhile, Major Nasir Javed senior vice president Pakistan Ex-servicemen Society Mandi Bahauddin has urged Municipal Administration to close unwanted ‘U Turns’ on Mandi – Phalia Road. He said with in a distance of about 2 KM from Post Graduate Government College to Sat Sira (a point from where seven roads emanate in different directions) one finds frequent U Turns that caused accidents when vehicles took abrupt U Turn, on daily bases resulting in injuries to persons and damage to vehicles. Some fatal accidents also took place causing death to vehicle drivers, passengers and persons walking on road side. He asked municipal administration to close unwanted U Turns except the ones that were really considered most urgent.
