Lahore: July 4, 2011. (PCP) There is uproar of Christian Human Right activists and Labour Unions against The City District Government of Lahore on giving 10,000 Christian employees of SWM in a contract to private company named Lahore Waste Management Company LWMC. The Christians leaders are of view that trading of thousands of Christian employees of CDGL is a city level conspiracy to damage services and facilities of Christians but PCP investigation team came to know more secrets behind such conspiracy. According to facts, Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is directly involved in trading of 10, 000 Christian employees with LWMC under cover of Turkish government. Shahbaz Sharif, CM of Punjab and leader of Pakistan Muslim League PML (N), was present in Istanbul, Turkey, during signing of agreement between Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Waste Management Company ISTAC and Lahore Solid Waste Management Company LWMC on December 27, 2010. Shahbaz Sharif to benefit is political supports in LWMC visited Turkey and hatched a drama of Lahore-Istanbul sister cities to pave a way to award billions to his political accomplices. After signature of agreement between LWMC and ISTAC in December 2010, Shahbaz Sharif directed CDGL officials to express failure of SWM department to clear way for awarding billions of Rupees Contact to his favorites. There was no Tender asked for this Contact by Punjab government or City District Government of Lahore CDGL which was awarded to LWMC. The leasing of 10.000 Christian employees was also not presented in Punjab Assembly when Lahore City government not operational. In SWM department of CDGL are Christian employees who keep streets and roads of Lahore city clean while in other departments of CDGL are Muslims. According to Tribune Express of June 25, 2011, Lahore Commissioner Nadeem Hassan Asif said that the SWM department had failed because of “organisational incapability”. “We tried to rehabilitate the SWM department with new techniques but didn’t get the desired results,” he said It meant that all other departments of CDGL were operating satisfactory instead of SWM which have only Christian employees. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC condemned anti-Christian attitude of government of Punjab province of Pakistan and said that It is Shahbaz Sharif’s administration where killers of Christians are set free, Christian girls are gang raped, Christian women are abducted and enforcedly converted to Islam, Christian properties are attacked, Churches are vandalized, Holy Bibles are desecrated, innocent Christian are gunned down in broad day light and finally open trading of Christian laborer is shameful on part of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz group government in Punjab. Nazir Bhatti expressed his surprise that a Catholic Christian Minister in Punjab government being aware of the plot against Christian employees of CDGL not came up to stop it or to inform Christians of Punjab that a conspiracy was under way against them. “One Catholic Christian was present in cabinet meeting as Federal Minority Minister but he not bothered to raise voice against devolution of Federal Minority Ministry or to inform Christian people who came to know about devolution of Federal Minority Ministry when 18th Amendment was passed and signed, same like, a Catholic Christian minister in Punjab province remains silent until thousands of Christian labourer were traded by his bosses” said Nazir Bhatti The CDGL will pay rupees 2.5 billion rupees to LWMC every year in this human trading in name of” keep the city clean” and “Environment” according this deal of CDGL-LWMC, but where stands ISTAC, it is unclear. When PCP team searched about ISTAC, its links reached to a contactor headed by a Hindu in United States of America. Nazir Bhatti, urge President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gillani to hold an enquiry in illegal trading of 10,000 Christian employees of CGDL when CM of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif have dragged Turkish authorities in contract of CDGL-LWMC.
