Punjab, Pakistan: June 29, 2011. (By Sher Gondal) Revenue staff including tehsildars, gardawers and patwaris observed strike here today as mark of protest against the misconduct of Tariq Sahi MPA and his brothers. Reportedly Tehsildar Mandi Bahauddin refused to the brother of MPA to execute a mutation pertaining to the partitioned land on the plea that partitioned order had been challenged and status quo issued regarding the disputed land. This annoyed the brother of MPA who attempted to belabor the tehsildar but in the meantime people around disengaged them, Tehsildar Arif Anjum told the scribe. He further told that next day Patwaris held a meeting to evolve proper course of action against the MPA’s brother at Patwarkhana, King Road. In the mean while MPA’s Brother Akhtar Sahi along with a gang of armed person’s appeared there and abused participants of the meeting and threatened them of dire consequences.
Meanwhile, Malikwal police team caught a police inspector in uniform when travelling on a coach with 60 small canes of wine in his possession. Reportedly police inspector Imtiaz Gondal is posted at Police Chowki Khush Hallgarh, Tehsil Jand District Attock and originally belongs to Bahowal, a suburban village of Malikwal. He was travelling in uniform on the coach that runs from Rawalpindi to Miani. When the coach entered jurisdiction area of Malikwal Police Station, Police Inspector Shahbaz Hinjra along with police team checked the coach and found wine canes in possession of the culprit. Police arrested the accused and registered a case against him under the relevant law.
