LARKANA: June 28, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Sindh Minister for Law and Tourism Muhammad Ayaz Soomro has said that present PPP government is committed to provide all health facilities in Shaheed Mohtarma Bhutto Medical University. He also announced that a branch of Sindh Bank will be opened at (SMBBMU) Larkana, while Minister also announced that Government Girls Primary School of CMC will be upgraded to Middle School. Presiding over a meeting of development committee of (SMBBMU) here on Monday evening, he said it is high time to serve the people without any discrimination. On the occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Akbar Haider Soomro briefed the Minister the development works of the University regarding development of the University. He also briefed the Minister that 220 acres land acquired near Areja for the establishment of the University. Besides, this Benazir Institute of Nursing and Community Health Sciences will be established at Larkana Moen- jo- Daro road and at GMC Sukkur as well as in about 400 nurses 450 community health science students will be admitted . The Vice Chancellor also said that the mini stadium and gymnasium will also be established. While the Bibi ASIFA Dental College will be established at University. The Minister has directed the SEPCO Authorities for installation of separate electric feeder for the university. He also directed the officers of works and services department to complete the roads of the university as well as to ensure the maintenance and repair of the hostels of the university. The Minister also directed to the XEN Public Health Engineering Department to complete the drainage of the University without any delay. The required funds for the development schemes will be provided very soon. The meeting was attended by the DCO Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari, Principal CMC Professor Asadullah Mahar, Professor Hassan Sheikh and members of development committee as well as PPP leader included Khair Muhammad Shaikh and others were present
