Lawyers must enhance their professional capabilities; Judge Sheihk Liaqat

Mandi Bahauddin: June 17, 2011. (By Sher Gondal) On his postinng to Mandi Bahauddin, District Sessions Judge Sheikh Liaqat has called upon the lawyers to enhance their professional capabilities through hard work under the guidance of their senior colleagues so that the Bench and the Bar could jointly ensure the provision of inexpensive and prompt justice to the people. He emphasised this while addressing a reception hosted by District Bar Association in his honour here at the Distric Bar Room on Thursday. The judge Liqaqt said that the junior lawyers could improve their performance under the guidance of their senior colleagues who have deep knowledge of the profession. Calling for equal respect to the Bar and the Bench, he said that duty lies upon the lawyers to ensure the observance of rules and regulations and help the Bench in providing early justice to the people with completion of all required legal procedures. Stressing the need for maintaining conducive atmosphere for administration of jutice, he said this was collective responsibility of the Bench and the Bar and in that respect he would ensure the Bench would do its best, adding that Mandi Bahauddin had produced capable lawyers and many of them were serving as judges thoughout Punjab province.. He praised the bar members for their active participation in lawyers’ movement. And said Mandi Bahauddin bar enjoyed good reputation among lawyers community and he felt honored on his posting to this district. About the problems being faced by the lawyers community of the district, he assured that all genuine grievances of the lawyers would be resolved on priority basis in order to create good working relations between the Bench and the Bar. The reception was also addressed by President Mandi Bar Association Waseem Maken advocate. All judges of Mandi Bahauddin attended the reception.
