JUI(S) Chief assures to withdraw statement of Ban on Holy Bible in Pakistan by leader of his party

Islamabad: June 14, 2011. (PCP) JUI (S) Maulana Sami Ul Haq said that his group believed on religious solidarity. He had inquired with the Person who demanded the ban on the bible from his party. While talking to geo news on 13th June, he said that Muslims have the responsibility to respect all holy books similarly he said all religions must respect each other. Maulana Sami ul Haq said I have censured the person for demanding of ban. Remember that Mr.J.Salik Convener World Minorities Alliance and a former federal Minister a nominee for nobel peace prize had a telephonic conversion and discussed the statement of Maulana Abdul Rauf in the Lahore press conference on 30th May with Mr. Sami ul Haq Chairperson JUI (S) and he promised the maximum co operation because his group believes on religious solidarity.` JUI(S) leader Farooqi issud a statement in a press conference in Lahore urging Supreme Court of pakistan to ban Holy Bible in Pakistan, on strong protest was lodged by millions of Pakistani Christians. But on June 9, 2011, talikg to local media, JUI(S) leader Maulana Abdur Raoof Farooqi said that his party requests that the Chief Justice of Pakistan take suo motu notice of this issue. Farooqi claims again that the Christian’s holy book “contains blasphemous passages that are a cause of humiliation for Muslims”. He added that if the CJP does not accept their writ within one month, he will present the issue to an independent tribunal that may comprise of judges from the Federal Shariat Court. Farooqui said he wants the matter to be resolved judicially, so that the Christian community has the right to defend its stance, according to Express Tribune. Talking to Pakistan Christian Post, Mr. Julius Salik on June 8, 2011, said that he is trying to contact JUI(S) hief to invite his attention on statements made by his party leader against Holy Bible. J Salik strongly protested against Burning of Holy Quran by a US based Pastor in front of Islamabad Press Club.
