LARKANA: May 18, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Sindh Taraqi Passand Party Larkana staged protest and observed token hunger strike against Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghaffar Dahar and Deputy Jail Superintendent Aslam Malak on torturing prisoners here out side Larkana press club. On the occasion, Sadhoro Khan Jatoi, Mainthar Ali Mughari, Muajhid Ali Dayo, Ahmed Nawaz, Imran Khan and others chanted slogans against Jail Administration and called for immediate removal of Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghaffar Dahar and Deputy Jail Superintendent Aslam Malak while talking to media men they told that jail superintendent after drinking wine usually inters in barks and torturing innocent poor prisoners who are not paying bribe, they alleged that jail administration has deployed several police agents who are collecting the money over the meeting of prisoners with their relatives, they alleged that jail superintendent along with concerned officials are earning millions rupees in month. They appealed to higher authorities to immediately remove corrupt jail officials and appoint honest officers on their place other wise they will continue their movement. Meanwhile, protest and boycott of Para Medical Staff and Doctors continued on its 6th consecutive day all the units of CMC Hospital Larkana including Shaikh Zaid women Hospital, Children Hospital, CMC Teaching Hospital, Civil Hospital, OPD Block were remain completely closed in protest for removal of Medical Superintendent CMC Hospital Dr. Zulifqar Siyal. On the occasion, Pakistan Para Medical Staff Association, Pakistan Medical Association and several other political, social and nationalist organizations including Sindh Taraqi Passand Party, JSQM, Young Samaje Itehad, Awami Itehad Party, PPP S.B and others joined in ongoing protest of Para Medical and doctors against MS CMC Hospital Dr. Zulifqar Siyal other side hundreds patients of different wards including Cardiology Units, Urology, Surgical Ward, Orthopedic Ward and others were discharged and several serious patients moved to private medical centers to save their lives. While clash between MS and Para Medical Staff and doctors could not be resolved whereas both doctors and para medical staff associations have jointly decided to carry out boycott of duties till the removal of MS Dr. Zulifqar Siyal.
