LARKANA: May 16, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) The members of Federation of Trade Association (FTA) has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of elected representatives of present government and local administration Larkana to overcome the increasing load shedding in home town of Shaheed Bhutto’s and they have threatened to boycott the PPP in upcoming election.
Speaking to the press conference on Monday, FTA business community allegedly said that the local elected representatives and district administration Larkana are busy in the arrangements of ladies Festivals in Larkana/Naudero and spending millions on unnecessary activities during summer time, added the such money should have been sued for the betterment and welfare of poor masses but they have forgotten the basic problems of public and traders.
They said that the present government have been failed to provide the relief to the business community and controlled unannounced power outage in Larkana and other parts districts.
The office bearers of more than 27 trade associations including FTA President Tariq Nazir Shaikh, Akber Ali Shaikh, Masood Ahmed Shaikh, Anwer Ali Shaikh, Dur Mohammed Shaikh, Hafiz Suleman Shaikh, Ramesh Lal and several others in joint press conference have criticized the poor armaments of electricity and prolonged load shedding of 18 hours have affected the daily business and trade activities.
They further said that instead of ending load shedding, the local administration along with local representatives are non serious and they are celebrating festivals and fares in Larkana and Naudero, while the common men were suffering from various crisis of load shedding, inflation, poverty, unemployment and other social issues.
They also said that their rice mills, ice factories, flour mills and several other small industries as well as the business have been badly affected and hundred and thousands have been unemployed due to the failure of electricity in country.
FTA allegedly said new grid station is still in doldrum and Naudero Power Plant inaugurated by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari could not be restored and huge corruptions have been reported in various rental powers they said.
FTA leaders have early demanded the early completion of Lodran Grid Station and other projects including 132 KV grid station circuit line to increase the number mobile transformers in the district to facilitate the consumers of Larkana.
They also slammed the local authority of SEPCO Larkana on receiving bribe on illegal connections and sending detection bills in June to June every year to conceal their inefficiency they said.
They have also threatened to start mass movement by rallies, protests, shutter down strikes if the government failed to end load shedding.
