Mandi Bahauddin: May 13, 2011. (By Gangly Khan) Ex-servicemen of Mandi Bahauddin will stage a rally on 19 May 2011 to express solidarity with armed forces of Pakistan. This was decided in a meeting of executive body, Pakistan Ex-servicemen Society Mandi Bahauddin held on 12 May. Major Sher Muhammad Gondal District President Pakistan Ex-servicemen Society presided the meeting. Participants of the meeting said armed forces are the only disciplined and strong institution of the country that are defending integrity, ideology and sovereignty of the country and this respect they have rendered maximum sacrifices in life. Unfortunately some politicians to secure political and personal interest have launched a malicious propaganda to malign and tarnish image of armed forces. US forces raid at Abottabad is a preplanned scheme of enemies of Pakistan to degrade armed forces among the public. If there was any lapse to detect the raid all government institutions and agencies are responsible for that. Why politicians are making armed forces exclusively scapegoat for this lapse. They said in critical situations all segments of the nations should forge unity to overcome difficulties. Blaming each other can be more dangerous to integrity of the nation and it never solves problems. They said armed forces must be protected against malicious propaganda. Criticism against armed forces is not justified. They should be morally supported to perform their sacred duties of defending Pakistan.
