Karachi: May 2, 2011. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have feared violence against Christian after death of Osama Bin Laden by US forces in Pakistan and urged government of Pakistan to adopt necessary security measures of Christian’s life and property. Pakistani Christians have been easy prey of Islamic extremists and militants in Pakistan and have faced violence after US attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Islamic militants in Pakistan and Taliban who declare every Christian to be infidel make responsible to Pakistani Christians of every action of NATO or Western countries. The Islamic extremists have vandalized worship places and burnt down homes of Christians as retaliation of NATO attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan. There have been incidents of throwing grenades on Churches and burning alive of Christian women and Children. “The Pakistan administration must beef up security of Churches, Christian institutions, Christian colonies and life of common Christian after death of Osama Bin Laden” said Nazir S Bhatti The Islamic elements attacked one missionary school and tried to vandalized a Church in city of Gujranwala in this week on accusation of defiling pages of Holy Quran which were found by some Muslims in Christian graveyard. Hundreds of Christian families of Gujranwala city have fled for safe places and those families who have no place to flee are fearful and hiding them in their homes. The Christians of Gujranwala are living in siege and government have failed to provide security to them that they may resume normal routine of life in city for their living. Nazir Bhatti said that death of Osama Bin Laden will be big blow to terrorist elements around globe and peace will prevail.
