The Census Drive inaugurated in Larkana

LARKANA: April 6, 2011. (By Nazir Siyal) Sindh Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Ayaz Soomro along with DCO Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari inaugurated the National Census drive in district Larkana, started from 5th to 19th April 2011. On the occasion Provincial Minister said that the participating in census is a National cause and every family have to enlist their houses in first Phase. He said that after house census the population census will be started in August 2011 in the second phase he added. Minister said that DDOs revenue have been appointed as District Census Officers for the monitoring of census in 4 Taluka of Larkana Districts included Larkana, Ratodero, Dokri and Bakrani Taluka. He said that DCOs are the District Census Controller and they will monitor the whole district. On the occasion DCO Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari briefed the Provincial Minister that 11 Charge Superintendents, 76 Circle Supervisors, 202 enumerators are appointed in Larkana Taluka and 524 Blocks were setup in Ratodero Taluka 6 charge Superintendents, 30 Circle Supervisors, 144 Enumerators are appointed and 313 Blocks were setup. Five Charge Supervisors, 17 Circle Officers, 167 Enumerators are appointed in Dokri Taluka in which 163 Blocks are also established. Similarly 4 Charge Superintendents, 14 Circle Supervisors, 76 Enumerators are appointed in Bakrani Taluka. 192 Blocks were setup. 26 Charge Superintendents, 137 Circle Supervisors,489 Enumerators are appointed for the whole District and 1192 Blocks were setup. Provincial Minister directed the District Administration to ensure the house census in the remote areas and katcha areas of the district. He also said that law and order situation may be ensured in remote areas in this regard. He said that Sindh Census Commissioner will be appointed as soon as possible, he urged upon the people of all walks of life to make success the house census in national interest
