Faisalabad: March 25, 2011. (PCP) The National Commission for Justice& Peace held a meeting fro condemning the “shameful act” of desecration of the Holy Quran in America by Terry Jones. Father Nisar Barkat (Diocesan Director NCJP), Ch. Muhammad Anwar Advocate, Hashmat Barkat Advocate, Ms. Shughfta Advocate, Shahid Anwar, Naila Arooj, Aksa Kanwal and Shafique Sharif were among the speakers. Father Nisar Barkat said, “ the shameful act of Terry Jones not only spoiled the religious feeling of Muslims but of Christians, Jones is neither a Christian nor a human because no religion allows its followers to provoke the feelings of the followers of other religions” “ the purpose behind the satanic deed of Jones is only to demolish the universal peace, we demand that Jones and his companions must be arrested and punished so that no one dares commit such a heinous crime in future, we also demand that universal Christian community must boycotts Jones and declare him as atheist and UN must take notice of this disgraceful act”, he added.
